About
Elwood Middle School is home to approximately 422 students in grades 6-8. Our commitment to excellence and the adolescent learner has been recognized nationally, as we were designated as a Schools to Watch in both 2022 and 2025 as well a School of Distinction through the Association of Middle Level Education. We are proud of these achievements and remain committed to providing our students with a high-quality education that prepares them for success in high school and beyond.
We pride ourselves on providing a nurturing and supportive environment designed specifically for the unique needs of adolescent learners. Our school is structured around the concept of teaming, creating smaller learning communities where students are well-known by their teachers. With two teams per grade level, we ensure that each student receives personalized attention and support.
Elwood Middle School is dedicated to fostering a well-rounded educational experience. We offer a diverse range of clubs, sports, and activities to cater to the varied interests of our students, ensuring inclusivity and encouraging participation for them to explore who they are and develop the academic and social emotional skills they will need to be the best versions of themselves.
